James "Buddy" Rogers to play on The Metrotown Mitsubishi Commmunity Stage on Sunday, July 23rd at the 12the Street Fest New WestThe METROTOWN MITSUBISHI COMMUNITY STAGE featured the music of two of the Lower Mainland’s great Bluesmen.  James “Buddy” Rogers, and Arsen Shomakhov. Opening for these two acts, was the soulful, country roots and blues of the Patsy Thompson and Pamela Dominelli, The Sweet P’s, followed by our 12th Street Neighbours, the Blue Express.

Match Eatery and Public House at Starlight Casino stepped up to the plate as our special Gold Plus Sponsor.
They sponsored the Match at Starlight Casino Stage near 6th Avenue, hosting four great acts from Northern Electric Sound.

The Match Stage opened with No Fun, followed by the solid rockabilly act Dogwood and the Shakers.

Mike Van Eyes to play on The Match at Starlight Casino Stage on Sunday, July 23rd at the 12the Street Fest New WestLater in the afternoon, longtime 12th Street Fest performer Mike Van Eyes and his band brought next level energy. Digging deep into his amazing bag of great boogie woogie, rockin’ country and blues.

The Slip-Ons to play on The Match at Starlight Casino Stage on Sunday, July 23rd at the 12the Street Fest New WestHeadlining this stage was the garage punk sound of the Slip-Ons. They played their ragged heartfelt guitar rock
They really put on a show!

Once again, Key West Ford lent their support to the 12th Street Fest New West.
They showed up with the latest electric Mustang.  And a van set up with a couple of driving simulators so you could check out the latest Fords and take them for a drive!!! That’s right. Even the teenagers will be able to go for a spin!!
Look for Key West Ford’s cars, tents, and video game van at the lower entrance to the festival at 6th Avenue.

The Province of British Columbia’s Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport, were another big sponsor.

And this event could not have happened without the perennial support from the City of New West.
